The Violet Quilt is a fat quarter-friendly pattern with lots of visual movement. Since the feature fabrics do not touch each other, it works well with a wide variety of colors and prints — including larger-scale prints that you want to highlight. The pattern also includes an option for making a rainbow version.

I changed a couple things from the original pattern to fit the yardage I had. Instead of full squares of my print fabric where the chevrons originate, I did hst with a combo of the my print and solid white. I love how the white completely frames the stars where that all comes together.

Loved this when I first saw it and thought my jelly roll of Kaffe Fassett fabrics would show off nicely. Dotted grunge background, stiped binding. I got a blue ribbon at the county fair!
