The Phoebe Quilt Pattern in Pure Solids
When I was originally designing the Phoebe Quilt Pattern, I knew that I wanted to use solids for the cover quilt. Since my inspiration for the pattern was stacks of books, I wanted rich colors that reminded me of an old library. You know the library in the animated version of Beauty and the Beast? Something like that.
Since I am a huge lover of books and libraries, putting together this color combinations was a joy. There are browns and reds, but I wanted some variety so I mixed in some pinks and purples and lighter colors.
All of the prints are from Art Gallery Fabric's Pure Solids line. If you are looking for colors that lean a little more vintage, you cannot beat their selection. The background fabric is a newer (or at least new-to-me) neutral called Coconut Milk and it is SEW pretty. I got all of my Pure Solids fabrics from Pear Tree Market (great selection, quick shipping).
The binding is one of the brown shades called Vintage Walnut. I know that not everyone is on board with brown in quilts, but I am 100% here for it. I am loving brown right now.
The backing fabric is a Bonnie Christine print called Wren from her Wild Forgotten collection.
If you would like to make a quilt just like this one or if you are a shop that would like to kit this collection, you can download the fabric guide right here and you can find the pattern in my shop!
