All of the Other Penny Quilts
If you’ve fallen for the Penny Quilt Pattern like I have, you’ll know how addictive it can be to make just… one… more. Here are 3 more samples that I made in the past — two of them are pulled from my stash and one is Rifle Paper Co. Christmas!
1. A Stashbusting Penny Quilt
This version came from a quiltalong in fall 2021. The backing was a beautiful Bonnie Christine print, and the pink-lavender binding ended up being the perfect finishing touch. All of these fabrics were pulled from my stash.
2. A Penny Quilt for a Teacher
For a lot of years, I made quilts for each of my kids' teachers. Now that my older kids are in high school and have lots of teachers and lots has changed about the elementary school situation, so I just give the teachers cash. I'm sure that some of them liked the quilts, but they can all appreciate the financial contribution.
This quilt was made for my son's 5th grade teacher after a year of online school during the pandemic. She deserved something special!
3. A Rifle Paper Co.–Inspired Holiday Penny Quilt
You guys know I am a huge Rifle Paper Co. fan and their holiday collections and are just sooooo good!
Whether it’s stashbusting, gifting, or seasonal quilting, the Penny Quilt is a pattern that keeps giving. Its updated, fat-quarter-friendly design in all sizes makes it a versatile staple in any quilter’s pattern library. Check it out, and start playing with your favorite fabrics today!
