The Phoebe Quilt Pattern in Chalk and Charcoal
Jennifer Sampou graciously sent me a bundle of her brand new Chalk and Charcoal fabrics and I knew that I needed to use them to make a sample of the Phoebe Quilt Pattern.
The fabrics have a really beautiful print that gives them a little more of an oomph than solids. I particularly loved the different neutral (brown, gray, tan) prints from the collection and I will definitely be using them as a binding fabric on all kinds of projects in the future.
Notice how the background fabric isn't white or gray? I'm trying guys! Two out of the 3 samples I made for the pattern have a non-white, non-gray background. I know this is still playing it pretty safe, but I'm taking baby steps.
The collection also has 108" wide backing prints which I wish (pretty please!) all manufacturers would make available.
The newer colors in the collection (all of which I used in my quilt) won't be available for a few months but Jennifer is hard at work getting kits ready to sell. In the meantime, you can view the full list of colors that I used in my quilt by downloading this fabric guide.
The Phoebe Quilt Pattern is available as both a paper and PDF pattern in my shop — make sure to stop by to pick up your copy!
