Using Scraps - 3.5

Using Scraps - 3.5" Squares

While 2.5" squares are little easier to come by (jelly roll strips and binding strips!) 3.5" squares are my favorite scrap size. This is a list of project ideas for using those 3.5" squares — hopefully these will inspire you to dig into your scrap bin!

Of all of the various sizes of scraps that I have in my stash, the 3.5" squares always get used up the fastest so I try to cut more of them every time I cut leftover fabric.

Your post inspired me to buy Ruth and Taylor. Unfortunately they will have to wait while I work my way through the To Do list, but I already know which fabrics are destined for these little beauties. Thank you.

I used your Plaidish pattern when I made my granddaughter a quilt for her college graduation in her purple and golds — her school colors. Of all the quilts I have made, I think it is my favorite. I pieced the name of the school and the year of graduation on the back. Thank you for the pattern.
