The Zelda Quilt in Pure Solds
Today I get to share my final Zelda Quilt Pattern sample with you — this one uses Pure Solids from Art Gallery fabrics and I adored putting together this combination of colors for this modern quilt.
I love all of the various solids manufacturers, but Art Gallery has really been killing it lately. One of my favorite things has been experimenting with non-white, non-gray background colors that still feel neutral like the light pink (it's called Sweet Macadamia) that I used for this quilt. It's so pretty!
I have already posted a quilt using fat quarters and one using fat eighths — I broke the rules a little for this quilt and used somewhere in between. I was working from my stash and so I made 2 blocks from each fabric instead of 4 (like the FQ version) or 1 (like the F8th version).
This is the full list of colors that I used in my quilt. Finding a shop that has all (or even most) Pure Solids in stock is a little tricky. I usually order from Pear Tree Market on Etsy — they tend to have everything in stock and they ship super fast. Plus they label each fabric with the color which is so helpful!

The backing fabric is one of my favorite prints ever — it's a purple print by Maureen Cracknell that I have used several times in different projects over the years. I saw it on sale recently and snatched up enough for a quilt backing. It was perfect for this project.
While I really enjoyed making all 3 samples of this pattern, this one was my favorite. These colors just resonate with me. I know some of you don't like brown, but you are missing out!
I have linked to all of the Pure Solids used in my quilt above. If you wanted to make a quilt just like this one, you would need fat quarters but would have plenty leftover for another project. And of course you need the Zelda Quilt pattern, which you can find right here in my shop.
