The Tabitha Quilt Pattern in Nocturne
Have you worked with Fableism fabrics? This was my first time working with one of their collections and I am IMPRESSED! The fabrics are soft and lightweight which is wonderful, but the best thing is the depth of the color. They are SO PRETTY! When Fableism kindly sent me a bundle of their new Nocturne collection, I knew it was perfect for the Tabitha Quilt Pattern.
Nocturne has all of the warm and cozy fall colors which just happen to be my favorite (especially the purple). I used almost every color for the quilt which gave me lots of variety.

For the background color (the white) I used a just-a-little-off-white solid — I am 98% sure that it is Moda Bella Snow. For the B Fabrics, I mixed things up a little and used 2 colors. The pattern calls for just one, but it is pretty easy to make this adjustment and use 2. Both are Fableism fabrics. They are Everyday Chambray in Rosa and Zephyr.

Since these fabrics are little more loosely woven than normal quilting cotton, I decided to quilt the project with close-together straight lines. This will hopefully help with any fraying issues and it also gives the quilt a little more of a structured feel because these fabrics are so drapey and soft.

The binding is a warm, dark gray and the backing fabric is a Ruby Star Society print from Purl by Sarah Watts that I have had in my stash for a while. It looks so pretty with the colors on the front of the quilt without trying to steal the show.

I liked these fabrics so much that I actually made a second quilt with them for my new nephew, but you are going to have to wait to see that one! If you would like to make a project with Nocturne, it is available in shops now. And, of course, you can find the Tabitha Quilt Pattern in my shop!

I really love the two colors for fabric B. It just gives the quilt a different vibe and moves my eye in the perfect way. Subtle but stunning.
