The Mini Plaid-ish Quiltalong Week 4 - Block B

The Mini Plaid-ish Quiltalong Week 4 - Block B

This week is going to be the easiest week of the quiltalong, so use this week to catch up a little if you have fallen behind. We are only making 12 blocks this week!

These are also the smallest block and (at least for my quilt) the least exciting blocks. Since I am using a single white fabric for my lights, there is not as much oomph in these blocks as in the other ones. But they are still fun.

If you are pressing to the side, you are still going to be pressing toward the mid valued fabrics! That helps keeps everything easy to remember and prevents you from having to press toward the light valued fabrics where your seams are more likely to show through onto the quilt top.

I highly, highly recommend pinning. Even if you aren't normally a pinner, it is helpful to pin at the seam intersections (especially if you press your seams open) to help make sure the seams match up.

Next week, we will be making 31 blocks so if you finish up quickly and don't want to wait, go ahead and get started! I am hoping to get started on Block C toward the end of the week.

I finished my blocks! A bit ahead of schedule! And chance I could get tips for putting rows together a bit early? Pressing tips?
