Santa Fe Quilt
If you saw my last post, you got a sneak peek at this quilt. These fabrics are from the May Culcita Box and they were PERFECT for making a new cover for my Glenda Quilt Pattern.
Since I just had fat quarters of the fabrics I wasn't sure if I could make it work, but I had some yardage of the Cotton + Steel Basics prints and ordered an extra fat quarter of a couple of the prints and it worked out perfectly. I have been sewing with so many blues and greens lately that this was a really fun change.

The quilting is an organic crosshatch - I love the texture that it gives the quilt so I have started doing it on almost all of my projects.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a suitable backing fabric in my stash - it is a Denyse Schmidt plaid and (other than buying a print from the Santa Fe collection) I couldn't have asked for a better fit.
The binding is a black solid and I sewed it down with my usual big stitch method.
I took the occasion to redo the graphics for this pattern and it is currently on sale in my shop through the end of the week. I have also ordered a paper version of the pattern it should be here in the next week or two. Being able to see my patterns in print form has been very satisfying and I am excited to expand my selection!
