Meet the Irene Quilt Pattern
For the past couple of years, I have received lots of requests for ways to make the Iris Quilt more beginner friendly. The piecing of that pattern is actually pretty simple, but it can be a little scary to trim (totally get it!) so I have been working on a pattern that you guys would love just as much . . . minus the trimming. Meet the Iris' sister pattern, the Irene Quilt.
Irene is just as quick to piece (yes to strip piecing!) and it can use jelly roll strips or fat quarters just like Iris. It is just fantastic at using up scraps since the pieces required are just right for leftover jelly roll strips or binding pieces.
And guess what? Unlike Iris, which was later modified to include queen and king sizes, Irene has all of the sizes right off the bat in one pattern.
I have 3 samples to share with you (one is a scrappy rainbow version!) plus I will be putting together lots of mockups. I know you guys are going to love this pattern just as much as Iris and I can't wait to see what you create.
Head over to the shop to pick up the PDF or paper pattern (both on sale this week) and get started at selecting your fabric 🎉

Just what I have been waiting for! The baby quilt is perfect for my cousins. Does it really require 2 5/8 yards backing?
