Meet the Daphne Quilt!
This year two of my goals are to write more patterns that use scraps and write a couple more beginner friendly patterns. Today I am going to introduce you to the Daphne Quilt which meets both of those goals!
When I was designing this pattern, I wanted something that would be visually interesting and also let the fabrics/colors used in the quilt really shine. These blocks are on the larger-ish size so there is plenty of real estate to show off those fabrics — these larger blocks also mean the quilt is quick to put together and a fast, fun project for quilters of all skill levels.
Scraps are a great choice for this quilt and I love would to make a scrappy rainbow version soon. It would be so much fun to have each of the diagonal stripes be a different color in the rainbow.
There are directions in the pattern for baby size all the way up to king size — yay! All sizes are fat quarter friendly (everything but the baby size also has the option for using 1/2 yard cuts if you want to use fewer fabrics).
I have 3 samples to share with you this week + I will be putting together some mockups to share as well — this pattern is super versatile and can work with just about anything.
You can find the PDF and paper versions of the Daphne Quilt in my shop and on sale through the end of the week!

I love it! This looks fun to make! It would be fun to play with different combos of fat quarters to come up with the various quilt ideas. I have another baby boy grandchild on the way and some favorite fat quarters. I’ve been waiting for the perfect pattern to use them.
