May Giant Block Tutorial

May Giant Block Tutorial

Welcome to the May post for the Giant Block Tutorial Series.

May Giant Block Title Image

This is the fifth quilt in the Giant Block Tutorial Series. I think that you will find this project to be fast and fun!

Instead of trying to format the tutorial to fit in the blog post, I am just making the tutorial available as a downloadable PDF (don't worry, it's free). If that is a problem for anyone, let me know! I want to make it accessible to everyone but I am also trying to save myself a time consuming step.

Note: There was an error in the original pattern, sorry about that! It is now fixed and I have sent an updated download link to everyone who downloaded the erroneous copy. Thanks Laurie for pointing it out!

Next month I am planning to make a post about mixing the blocks together in a quilt so keep an eye out for that, but for now, here are the quilt suggestions using the May block.

The images for the quilts below show binding for scale and to help show how the finished quilt will look.

24" Quilt Idea

Make (4) 24" blocks. Piece them together, rotating 2 of the blocks as shown below.

Then join the rows together.

36" Quilt Idea

This one is easy! Just make one block. This is a quick, modern baby quilt.
