I am excited to share that the pattern for my This is my second pattern that is made with beginning quilters in mind. It is perfect for first-time quilters, but is also a fun, quick finished for more experienced quilts.
The pattern is available as a PDF or a paper pattern and includes instructions for the following sizes:
Both the baby and lap size versions are fat quarter friendly. I was asked on Instagram if the pattern could be made with layer cake squares, and the answer is yes! The information isn't included in the pattern, but here are the fabric requirements if you would like to use a layer cake:
Baby Size: (12) squares for the A Fabrics and (6) squares for the B Fabrics (18 total 10" squares)
Lap Size: (30) squares fo the A Fabrics and (15) squares for the B Fabrics (45 total 10" squares)
Twin Size: (48) squares for the A Fabrics and (24) squares for the B Fabrics (72 total 10" squares)
Follow the cutting instructions in the pattern. From each 10" square you can cut A Fabrics for 1 block or B Fabrics for 2 blocks.
I had 4 fabulous pattern testers help me with this pattern and I am excited to share their quilts with you!
Michele (@michele_likes_to_quilt) made the baby size in some beautiful pinks and blues from a Dear Stella line called Flirt. She had this to say about the pattern: "What a great project for beginners! This pattern is such a good use of some large scale prints that first time quilters might be interested in, or that any quilter might have in their stash. A fun, fast quilt for anyone!"
Kelly (@kellyhenriod) made the baby size version in some pretty blues and neutrals. I really enjoy looking at Michele and Kelly's versions side by side because they are so different but still so fun!
How fun is this lap size version that Erin (@houseonhillroad) made? I love the dots and stripes and all of those fun colors!
Miranda (@mustlovequilts) made the twin size version using Bonnie and Camille fabrics. I love how they look with the dark Moda Crossweave background fabric!
I hope you all enjoy this pattern! Don't forget to pick up your copy in my shop!
