Using Scraps - 4" Squares
At this point we have covered the most useful scrap sizes — 2.5" squares, 3.5" squares, and 2.5" strips — but I'm going to keep going because there are more scrap sizes to use!
When I am cutting scraps down for storage, I first try to cut the largest squares that I can starting with 5" squares all the way down to 1.5" squares in half inch increments so I have quite a variety on hand.
Each of these quilts makes good use of 4" scrap squares.

Isn't it amazing what you can do with leftover fabric?
