The Olivia Quilt - A New Pattern

The Olivia Quilt - A New Pattern

The Olivia Quilt Pattern - Kitchen Table Quilting
I have another new pattern to share with you today - this is The Olivia Quilt!

The Olivia Quilt Pattern - Kitchen Table Quilting

Do you love charm packs? I do, but other than sewing together some simple patchwork squares or maybe some HSTs, I don't have any patterns that I love for charm packs. I designed this pattern as a way to use up charm packs in a fun, simple way that is a little more interesting than sewing squares together.

For my quilt I used Little Snippets by Bonnie and Camille and, as you can imagine, it is wonderful and pretty and a great mix of fun prints and basics. How do they keep making such great collections? The dark gray in the collection is really what drew me to these fabrics - it is my favorite!

The pattern is perfect for experienced beginners - it has simple block construction with on point blocks. There are directions for baby, lap, and twin size versions. The pattern is available as a PDF or paper pattern.

There are tons of options for this pattern and it is very versatile - if you follow me on Instagram, you will see some photos of a really colorful, I-spy version of this quilt that I am working on this week ;)

For the backing fabric on my quilt, I used one of the 108" wide Bonnie and Camille prints and it is amazingly soft. I am always looking for versatile, wide backing fabrics to keep on hand and this one is a winner.

I had the help of fantastic pattern testers on this quilt and I am excited to share photos of their quilts with you.

Miranda's Baby Size Quilt

I really love the pink/red/aqua combination that Miranda used in her quilt - it is also a great example of how the pattern looks with the same fabric used for all of the charm squares. This is such a sweet quilt for a baby girl!

Michele's Baby Size Quilt

I love that Michele used Christmas fabrics because this is a great pattern for using up Christmas charms. The fabric she used for the setting triangles is perfect. It is wonderfully fun and festive!

Haley's Lap Size Quilt

I am a sucker for a pink/navy combination and Haley's quilt uses it beautifully. The navy also really makes those white-framed charms really pop!

Emily's Lap Size Quilt

Emily's fabric choices give her quilt a really fun floating effect. We both used dark gray and green for our "x" fabrics and it is fun to see how different the charm packs make our quilts look.

Linda's Twin Size Quilt

This quilt is epic! Linda used Liberty of London fabrics for her twin size version of the quilt and they are so pretty. When I post about her quilt on Instagram later this week I will post a closeup so you can see how beautiful they are.

This pattern is available in my shop for 20% off through Christmas - it would make a wonderful Christmas present (for yourself or someone else!).
