The Mini Plaid-ish Quiltalong Info

The Mini Plaid-ish Quiltalong Info

Who is ready for a quiltalong? Starting July 10th, I will be hosting a VERY laid-back, fun quiltalong using the Mini Plaid-ish (or Plaid-ish) tutorial.
The Mini Plaid-ish Quiltalong - Kitchen Table Quilting
As we get closer, I will have more details for you, but I will answer some of the questions in this post. If you have any other questions, let me know in the comments! If you want to participate, make sure to save this post for future reference!

How do I signup?

No need to signup. Each week there will be posts on Instagram and on my blog and I will include links to those posts in my normal newsletter email each week.

Can I make the original Plaid-ish tutorial or just the mini?

Either! Construction is the same for both and both quilts use the same number of blocks — blocks for the mini are just smaller.

Where do I get the pattern?

You can get the Mini Plaid-ish tutorial by signing up for my email list (signup below) or you can find the original Plaid-ish tutorial right here. If you sing up for the email list, you will receive a welcome email within a few minutes. Scroll down just a little in the email to find the download links. If you don't see the email, make sure to check your spam folder!

What is the hashtag for the quiltalong?

We will use #miniplaidishqal unless someone else has a clever idea 😂

Should I make my quilt rainbow or scrappy?

Either! Or both! I'm going to try for both, but I'm not sure if I am going to have enough scraps. I'm guessing I will need to cut some pieces from my stash.

Will there be prizes?

I have come to terms with the fact that there are ways in which I am organized, and managing prizes/sponsors for a quiltalong is just not something I am capable of doing without my brain short circuiting. Plus, the real prize is your finished quilt!

Are there kits available?

Yes, and I will do my best to post about all of them. If you are a shop with a kit available, make sure to tag me when you post about it AND email me (not DM please!) with a link. If you would like your local shop to offer a kit, have them contact me! If you are a shop that would like help picking fabrics for a kit, send me an email! I would love to help facilitate lots of options.

Let me know if I missed any of your questions!

Well, sounds like the auto email for the pattern isn’t working. I, too, never received the pattern. And I’ve signed up a couple times. Looking forward to your attendance to this issue. Thank you in advance for the free pattern.

I downloaded the pattern for the mini plaid-ish, cut scrappy mini-print fabrics from my stash, and made 3 test blocks each of Blocks A, B and C to see if I’d like the look of the quilt. I can already see that it’s a great pattern!
