Year End Roundup - The Quiltalongs of 2025
This past year was a big one around here, and a lot of it revolved around quiltalongs. When I plan quiltalongs, my goal is always the same: to create a supportive, low-pressure way to try something new. Whether that’s tackling a pattern that looks a little intimidating at first, working through a new technique, or simply committing to making time to sew, it’s almost always easier when we’re doing it together.

Quiltalongs also give me the chance to slow things down and really walk through a project step by step. They create space for questions, troubleshooting, and encouragement — and I love seeing how differently the same pattern comes together when everyone brings their own fabric choices and personal style to the table. Watching those quilts pop up in posts, stories, and comments throughout the year has been such a highlight for me.

With that in mind, here’s a look back at all of the quiltalongs we shared this year.

As I look ahead, I’m not totally sure what quiltalongs will look like in 2026. While they are a lot of fun and incredibly rewarding, they’re also very time-intensive to plan and run well. Because of that, I’m leaving things a little open-ended for now. The plan has been to start a quiltalong in February, and I’d still love to make that happen — but I’m not quite ready to make any promises just yet.

What I do know is how grateful I am for everyone who participated this year, whether you finished every quilt, started one and set it aside for later, or simply followed along and cheered others on. Quiltalongs work because of the community around them, and I never take that for granted.

If you’ve missed one of these quiltalongs or have been thinking about revisiting a pattern, I hope this roundup gives you a place to start. And as always, thank you for sewing along, sharing your work, and being part of this space — it truly means so much to me.
