The Vivian Quilt in Trinketry
When I was designing the Vivian Quilt Pattern, one of my main goals was to create a quilt that worked well with a wide range of fabric collections — especially collections with lots of color and value variation, so using a jelly roll of Trinketry by Melody Miller for the cover quilt was perfect.

One of my favorite prints in the collection is the neon pink hearts print. Ruby Star Society has released several of these neon/low volume prints over the years and I have tried to snag some of each of them to use as a background fabric (see examples here and here).

Trinketry has a pretty wide variety of values (some black prints, some very light prints) and sometimes I can find these collections a little tricky to use in some patterns so I wanted to make sure that I designed a pattern that didn't let the darker colors steal the show. By placing the darker prints throughout the quilt, it lets all of the fabrics shine.

For the quilting, Heidi from Piece and Joy Quilting Co. did some gorgeous swirls and hearts. She always does such beautiful work.

If you’re looking for a jelly roll friendly quilt pattern, a modern quilt pattern that works well with bold prints, or a project that comes together quickly while letting the fabric do the heavy lifting, the Vivian Quilt Pattern was designed with exactly that in mind.
