The Hazel Quilt - Warp and Weft Version
A few weeks ago when I was very first working on the Hazel Quilt pattern, I decided to make a version using the Warp and Weft fabric that I had leftover from my Birdie quilt. I LOVE this fabric - the colors, the textures, the prints. So good.

I really love that this collection includes some woven solids in addition to the prints and I decided to use the navy woven solid for the flying geese.

For the background fabric I used this really pretty Warp and Weft neutral with tiny, purple dashes. It gave the quilt some personality but isn't distracting.

Generally, if I am using fabrics from a single collection for the quilt top, I like to use a print from the same collection for the backing. But this time, I had the perfect fabric in my stash - it is an older Cotton + Steel print.

Since this pattern is fat quarter friendly and I currently have a lot of fat quarters in my stash waiting to be used, I think I will be making more versions of this pattern in the near future.

I might even try a scrappy version - I think I would still use a consistent flying geese fabric and that could really help a scrap quilt feel cohesive. I'm adding it to the to do list!
