The Frances Quilt - Scrappy Version

The Frances Quilt - Scrappy Version

The first version I made of the Frances Quilt (before it was a pattern) a few years ago was made completely from leftover squares from another project, so I knew I wanted to do another scrappy version.

Some of my favorite prints ended up in this quilt which made it so fun to put together. Several of these prints have been in my stash for years and some are newer. It ended up as mostly Cotton + Steel, Lizzy House, and Alison Glass fabrics with a few others mixed in.

This was a great project for all of those little-bits-of-fat-quarter and remainder-of-the-width-of-fabric-strip pieces that I have sitting in my stash.

The pattern gives you directions to cut your squares from pre-cuts, but it also just gives you the total number of squares that you need so that you can cut squares from miscellaneous fabrics that you already have.

I lucked out and had the perfect backing fabric in my stash - I love this bright Ruby Star Society print.
