This quilt began as a baby shower gift for a friend, but I knew that I wanted to make it into a pattern. There are SO MANY possibilities for this one (which you can check out when I post my pattern testers' quilts later this week) and I can't wait to see what YOU make with it.
For the past few years I have been working my way through the alphabet. Most of my patterns are named after people who have significance in my life: Alice, Betty, Carol, Debbie, Eliza, Flora, Glenda, Harper, Isabella, Julia, Katie, Linda, Libby (I ended up with 2 Ls!), Mary, Nancy, Olivia, Patti, Rachel, Sadie, Tessa, Violet, Willow, and Zola.
Since I finished out the alphabet, I decided to start over with "A" using names from my family. This quilt is named after my youngest kid (that's him on the left).
The pattern lends itself really well to a rainbow or ombre fabric selection, but it can work with just about anything. Prints, solids, etc. I am working on a pink and purple version right now that I will be sharing soon :)
If you are in a rainbow-y mood and would like to make a quilt just like mine, here is a list of the solids that I used in my version. They are all Cotton Couture.
I am working on some instructional videos on cutting and sewing curves that I will be posting in my Instagram stories. If you feeling a little intimidated, watch for them here sometime this week!
In the meantime, head over to the shop to pick up a copy of the pattern!
