Meet the Remy Quilt Pattern!

Meet the Remy Quilt Pattern!

I’m am SO EXCITED to introduce the Remy Quilt Pattern! This pattern is a little bit of a twist on the traditional sawtooth star block, which is one of my favorites, and I love how the pattern lends itself to colorful fabric choices and bold background colors. This pattern is not difficult to make, but boy was it a challenge to write. It’s hands down the most infuriating pattern I’ve ever written, but the difficulty made me love making the quilt even more. I wanted it to work with fat quarters and fat eighths — and then, at the last minute, I decided it needed to be scrap friendly too. I’m so glad I put in the extra time to make that happen because I think you’re going to love making this one from precuts or scraps.

The Remy Quilt includes detailed instructions for five sizes, from baby to king:

Baby: 42” x 42”
Lap: 56” x 70”
Twin: 70” x 98”
Queen: 84” x 113”
King: 113” x 113”

Why You’ll Love the Remy Quilt Pattern

The Remy Quilt combines the comfort of a traditional star quilt with a clean, modern layout. It’s fat quarter, fat eighth, and scrap friendly, giving you endless possibilities to use what’s already in your stash.

The Story Behind the Design

When I started working on the Remy Quilt, my goal was to design a quilt that looked intricate but was simple to construct — something that delivers a big visual impact without being overly complicated. I also wanted a layout that would let the fabrics take center stage. The final result feels both familiar and new, and I can’t wait to see the unique interpretations that other quilters come up with.

I have 3 samples to share with you — the Egg and Friends quilt shown here, as well as a Rifle Paper Co. version and one that is very, very scrappy. Of course I will also put together a whole bunch of mockups for you, so let me know if you have a collection that you would like to see!
