When I originally started working on my Olivia Quilt Pattern, I knew that I wanted to make an I-spy version.

My stash of fussy cut-able prints really took a hit when I made my Fussy Cut Sampler quilt last year so finding prints that were the right colors took some work, but I am so happy with how this colorful, fun little quilt turned out.

I started by picking the solid colors and then filled in the fussy cut prints from my stash.

These little Cotton + Steel bears are one of my favorite prints so I had to make sure they fit in somewhere. The black and white dot is an Ann Kelle Remix print.

For the quilting, I did my normal organic grid. The backing fabric is a woven gingham fabric from Robert Kaufman and it is wonderfully soft. The binding is sewn down with Perle Cotton (tutorial here).

The batting is Happy Cloud Cotton batting from Fat Quarter Shop. It has become my go-to batting choice because it is quality but also inexpensive (it is also on sale right now!).

My 3 year old needs a new quilt for his big boy bed and I am thinking a twin size version in different blues and greens would be a lot of fun if I can find enough fabric to fussy cut!
